Terms of Use

By downloading or using Anchor (the "app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. Anchor is made by SnapSprint AI Private Limited, an Indian private limited company ("we", "us"), and is distributed worldwide through Apple's App Store.

What Anchor is, and isn't

Anchor is a supportive AI companion for everyday stress and hard moments. It is not therapy, counseling, medical or mental-health advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a crisis or emergency service. It does not replace care from a qualified professional.

If you may be in danger or crisis, contact your local emergency number, in the US, call or text 988; in India, dial 112 or iCall on 9152987821; in the UK, Samaritans 116 123. The in-app helpline card is always one tap away and always free.

Eligibility & rating

Anchor is rated 17+ on the App Store. You must be at least 13 years old to use Anchor, and if you're under the age of majority where you live, only with a parent or guardian's involvement. By using the app you confirm you meet these requirements.

AI-generated content

Anchor's responses are generated by an AI model (Google's Gemini, currently gemini-3.5-flash) via Firebase AI Logic and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not right for your situation. Use your own judgment, and don't rely on the app for medical, legal, financial, or other professional decisions. You're responsible for what you choose to do with anything the app says.

Per Apple's App Store guideline 5.1.2(i), Anchor asks for your consent before sending any of your messages to Google for processing. You can revoke that consent at any time from Settings › AI replies via Google Gemini; the app continues to work for on-device features (breathing, grounding, check-ins) when AI is off.

Acceptable use

Your content and memory

What you share stays yours. To provide the service, your messages are processed by Google Gemini and a private summary ("memory") is stored for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can erase your memory at any time from within the app, and delete your account and all associated data from Settings › Account.

Diagnostics & analytics

To keep the app stable and improve it where it falls short, we use Firebase Analytics (opt-in, off by default), Firebase Crashlytics (opt-out, on in release), and Firebase Performance Monitoring (opt-out, on in release). None of these ever send your message text, your name, or anything you check in about. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is never collected, so iOS does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt. Each toggle lives at Settings › Privacy & Data, and the full mechanics are in the Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions (Anchor Plus & Anchor Pro)

Anchor is free to start, every day you get a check-in, the calming exercises, and a daily conversation, plus crisis support which is always free. Two paid tiers raise the conversation cap and add premium surfaces:

Yearly plans include a 3-day free trial the first time you subscribe; you can cancel any time during the trial at no cost. Prices in your local currency are shown in the app and on the App Store; Apple sets the exact local price based on its tier system.

Apple is the merchant of record. All payments are processed by Apple under the App Store Terms of Service. Subscriptions are auto-renewing: payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, and renews automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged the renewal price within 24 hours prior to the end of the period. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions at any time.

Refunds & cancellation: refunds for paid subscriptions are governed by Apple's refund policy, see reportaproblem.apple.com. Deleting the app does not cancel an auto-renewing subscription; you must cancel it from your Apple Account.

Tier upgrades: if you upgrade from Plus to Pro mid-cycle, Apple credits the unused portion of Plus toward your Pro purchase. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal date.

If we change subscription pricing or terms, we will give you advance notice in the app and through Apple's standard mechanisms, and you will have the option to cancel before the new price takes effect.

Apple-required subscription disclosure

Subscription title: Anchor Plus or Anchor Pro.   Length: monthly (1 month) or yearly (1 year).   Price: shown in your local currency in-app and on the App Store; current US prices: Plus $14.99/mo or $89.99/yr, Pro $24.99/mo or $149.99/yr.   Free trial: 3 days on the yearly plans, first time only.   Auto-renew: yes, at the end of each period; payment is charged to your Apple Account within 24 hours of period end.   Cancel: in your Apple Account › Subscriptions, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.   Refunds: reportaproblem.apple.com.

Sign in with Apple

If you choose Sign in with Apple from Settings › Account, your private memory is linked to your Apple ID for backup and cross-device sync only. You may revoke this link at any time from Settings on iOS › Apple Account › Sign-In with Apple or by deleting your account in Anchor. Deleting your account permanently removes the linked memory.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the AI's content will be accurate or suitable.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we (and our affiliates, suppliers, and licensors) are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of the app. Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud).

Apple's role (EULA acknowledgement)

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and SnapSprint AI Private Limited, not with Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them. To the extent of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, the Apple EULA governs the use of the app on Apple-branded devices.

Termination

You can stop using Anchor at any time by deleting the app and, if you subscribed, cancelling the subscription in your Apple Account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the app in a way that risks harm to you, others, or our providers.

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that consumers in the EU/UK retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence. Where required by law (for example for EU consumers), mandatory consumer protections apply regardless of this clause.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and, for meaningful changes, note it in the app before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
