Common questions
Is Anchor a replacement for therapy?
No. Anchor is a supportive AI companion for everyday stress and hard moments. It is not therapy, counseling, or medical advice, and it does not replace care from a qualified professional. If you need clinical support, please see a licensed therapist or your doctor.
Is what I say private?
Mostly. Your name, your voice (transcribed on-device for almost every language, a small set of unsupported languages briefly use Google's cloud speech-to-text instead), and your breathing and grounding sessions stay on your device. Your messages go to Google Gemini so it can reply, and a distilled memory of what helps you, including your mood over time, syncs to your own private cloud space so Anchor remembers you, only with your consent, and Google never uses it to train its models or for advertising. You can erase everything anytime from Settings, and delete your account along with all cloud data from Settings › Account. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings on iPhone › your Apple Account › Subscriptions › Anchor and tap Cancel. You'll keep access until the end of the current period. Deleting the app alone does not cancel a subscription.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, and request a refund for the Anchor charge. Apple usually decides within a few days.
I'm having a problem with the app.
Email support@snapsprint.org with: your iPhone model, iOS version, the app version (Settings › About in Anchor), and a short description of what happened. A screenshot or screen recording helps. We'll get back to you quickly.
How do I delete my data?
Inside the app, go to Settings › Privacy & Data › Forget everything Anchor remembers. This wipes your distilled memory on your device and in the cloud, instantly. If you signed in with Apple, use Settings › Account › Delete account & data to also remove your auth identity. If you'd rather request deletion by email, write to support@snapsprint.org and we'll confirm within 30 days.
Can I use Anchor without an account?
Yes. Anchor works fully without signing in. Sign in with Apple is optional and only used to back up your private memory across devices.
Does Anchor work offline?
The AI conversation needs an internet connection. Breathing and grounding exercises work fully offline. Mood check-ins can be logged offline too, then sync to your memory once you're back online.
How much does it cost?
Anchor is free to start: 3 full conversations every rolling 3-hour window (then a lighter model keeps the conversation going, never a hard stop), the calming exercises, daily check-in, and crisis support are always included. Two paid tiers unlock more room: Anchor Standard ($9.99/wk, $34.99/mo, or $69.99/yr, 300 conversations and 30 voice-reply minutes a month) and Anchor Pro ($24.99/wk, $59.99/mo, or $149.99/yr, 1,000 conversations and 100 voice-reply minutes a month, plus our best AI model).
